Get to know a face that works to introduce our products to new customers. Meet Madison Redmond, one of our Commerical Account Executive! We’re excited to sit down with her to share her story in this month’s Employee Spotlight. You’ll learn about her role at RoadSync, her career, interests, and more! Fun fact: if she could be best friends with a celebrity, it would be with Blake Lively.
How did you find out about RoadSync? What is your role here at RoadSync, and what do you do daily?
A recruiter reached out to me about two years ago to interview for a BDR (business development representative) role. The interview process went well, but I initially turned down the opportunity. After nine months, I reached back out and joined the RoadSync team. As a BDR, it was my job to call prospects and set up meetings for an Account Executive (AE). After six months, I was promoted to an AE. My core responsibilities have switched to finding new prospects, showcasing how our product works, gaining new customers, and continuing efforts to keep building that relationship.
Before working at RoadSync, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?
This wasn’t an unusual job, but interesting, to say the least. Before RoadSync, I worked in healthcare sales, and this industry was pretty new to me. I worked specifically on the Hospital-Based Surgery team. My job was to source temporarily placed doctors by calling into different departments and connecting them to my Account Executive, who would source out different placements.
What are your hobbies outside of RoadSync?
I love to stay active; I played golf for about five years. I also enjoy working out, especially doing CrossFit. And, of course, I love hanging out with friends and going to dinner and brunch.
If you could switch your job with anyone else within the company, which department would you want?
If I could switch departments, I would move towards Customer Success. I see that there is a need for a continuation within customer relationship building that would be best for a salesperson to fulfill. Ideally, it would be an easy transition considering how much we know about the wants and needs of our customers.
What are some things that are on your bucket list?
I have two things on my bucket list! Firstly, I would love to travel to the Maldives for at least a month. Secondly, I would like to go skydiving!
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
Honestly, I love living in Georgia and don’t see myself anywhere else, but if I had to choose a place, I would move to West Palm Beach, Florida. It is a beautiful city, and I just love the atmosphere.
What are your thoughts on RoadSync’s impact on the logistics industry? What are your hopes for our industry?
I hope RoadSync continues to grow and the industry continues to evolve. I want to see RoadSync take over the number one spot within automating payments in the Repair and Tow sectors.
